Bonnie Caprara occasionally brings the estrogen balance to “Motor City Static” but has no problem keeping up with the shenanigans and wisecracks with the rest of the crew. She brings her insights on the Detroit area restaurant industry as contributor to City’s Best Detroit and director of new media for Dining in the D, which airs on WTVS/Channel 56. She also serves as the show’s resident foodie.

An alumna of Wayne State University and its student radio station WAYN, Bonnie’s career has taken her through the world of public relations and print journalism, where her byline has been seen as staff writer for the Grosse Pointe News, special writer for The Detroit News, and currently a freelancer for “The Oakland Press” and “The Macomb Daily.” She also handles social media and media relations for small business clients throughout the Detroit area.

Bonnie’s taste in music leans heavily towards singer-songwriters and jazz standards crooners. “I leave my CD collection at home; I don’t want to bring down the high-energy musical vibe the rest of the crew brings to the show,” Bonnie says. “Besides, what they play is a lot more fun to listen to when we’re taking the WBFH transmitter off-road through the back woods of Oakland County.”
